Project – Improving the energy efficiency of Stelweld Sp. z o.o.

Stelweld Sp. z o.o. is implementing a project entitled “Improving the energy efficiency of Stelweld Sp. z o.o. through infrastructure modernisation and the use of renewable energy sources (RES)”, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for a Modern Economy Programme 2021–2027,
Measure 3.01 – Ecological Credit.

Project objective

The objective of the project is to improve the company’s energy efficiency by modernising production infrastructure and increasing the use of renewable energy sources, which will contribute to reducing electricity consumption and lowering primary energy demand.

Project scope

The project includes:

  • modernisation of the technological line through the replacement of energy-intensive machinery,

  • installation of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 599.64 kWp.

The implementation of the investment will reduce the use of fossil fuels, increase the share of green energy, and minimise the negative environmental impact of the company’s operations.

Total project cost: PLN 25,000,000.00
Maximum amount of funding: PLN 5,200,000.00

Project Completion - POIR 2014-2020 grant

We are pleased to inform you that the project related to the creation of the Research and Development Center aimed at introducing product innovations in the transportation sector has been completed.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under action 2.1. related to support for investments in R&D infrastructure of enterprises of the Operational Program: Smart Growth 2014-2020.

– December 10, 2020 – signing of the agreement with the Ministry of Finance, Funds and Regional Policy

– December 31, 2020 – completion of the implementation part of the project

– January 1, 2023 – start of research and development work

The R&D Center offer is an innovative support starting from requirements analysis, through design, computer engineering analysis, prototype construction, research and testing, technology development, and implementation into mass production of new products. Our Center will also enable a wide range of research, testing, and analysis in one place, shortening the time of research and the entire implementation cycle.

POIR 2014-2020 grant

We are pleased to inform you that Stelweld Sp z o.o. signed an agreement with the Ministry of Finance, Funds and Regional Policy on December 10, 2020 for funding under action 2.1. Support for investments in R&D infrastructure of enterprises of the Smart Growth 2014-2020 Operational Program co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

Project title: “Creation of a research and development center aimed at introducing product innovations in the transportation sector.”

The main strategic objective of the project is to increase the company’s competitiveness by gaining technological advantage. This will be possible thanks to unprecedented investments in the construction and equipment of the Research and Development Center, especially for a company operating in the field of complex welded structures in Poland.

As part of the project, the company will conduct research on structures used in transportation. The establishment of the R&D Center will enable development in the area of ​​developing new structures, conducting FEM analysis, as well as strength and fatigue tests.

Thanks to an innovative approach to material selection and joining methods, it is expected to achieve the benefit of reducing the weight of the structure while maintaining its strength in the conditions of an automated production process. The investment and research agenda is planned for 2021-2027. The total cost of the project is PLN 36,900,000. The maximum amount of funding will not exceed PLN 7,500,000.
